Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Stores

Dunham has been providing mechanical and electrical engineering services for Dollar Tree/Family Dollar for 15 years. Our team also provides prototypical design items and special projects throughout the years. Our services have contributed to over 1,500 store fit-ups, roll-outs, remodels, and newly constructed stores across the United States and Canada.

LEED Study

As part of a corporate wide sustainability initiative Dunham performed an analysis of typical free-standing stores to determine the feasibility, cost and ROI of potential improvements to achieve LEED certification under LEED-Retail CI. An energy model was developed, identifying electricity, gas and water usage, CO2 emitted, and associated energy costs. Strategies were developed and costs applied to improve the store’s energy efficiency and achieve LEED certification. The analysis indicated that LEED certification was achievable at an estimated first cost of $15,000, and a payback of less than three years.
