The National Marrow Donor Program recently moved its headquarters to a new 250,000 SF office building in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. The building includes one level of below-grade parking, seven stories of office space, and another level with a cafeteria, fitness center, and support space. The project involved the 5th Street Station–a café that is open to the public for breakfast and lunch. Our team provided full design services for the building’s core and shell, consisting of HVAC systems, domestic water service, storm-water system, electrical power distribution, emergency power, life safety, and a lightning protection system. Dunham worked with a separate team in a design‑build capacity to provide design criteria, peer review, and construction administration services for the tenant improvement work. As part of a different project, Dunham also designed centralized UPS and Generator enhancements to improve the structure’s reliability and resiliency.
