Summer Sun & Volunteering with Hearts & Hammers

Group of volunteers posing in front of a light blue house, with a ladder on the left and an orange cone nearby.

This year, volunteers from Dunham, MedCraft, BWBR, Walker, McGough, DJ Kranz, and the NDSU Twin Cities Alumni Association came together once again to support a homeowner in need through the Hearts & Hammers program. The volunteer opportunities span multiple days, and includes light repairs, extensive preparation work, painting, and general clean-up. This year’s event took place at a home on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis.

The homeowner was truly “over the moon” with the transformation and grateful for the care, effort, and teamwork that went into the project. It was a wonderful reminder of the positive impact we can make when we come together to do some good in the community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone from Dunham—and the family members who joined us—who donated their time and energy on a beautiful Saturday to make this project a success. Your willingness to give back embodies the values that make our community and our company so special.

We hope to see an even bigger turnout next year! If you haven’t had the opportunity to participate before, I highly encourage you to consider joining us. The day flies by, the conversations and friendships are fantastic, and the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference for a homeowner is incredibly rewarding. We look forward to welcoming even more volunteers next summer!
