Upon completing the campus master plan, Lake View Hospital renovated and expanded its hospital to meet changes in use, technology, functionality, and hospital regulations. This multi-phased project includes a two-level, 36,000 SF procedure and surgery department and connects the hospital to the adjacent medical clinic. The new surgery department has two procedure rooms, two operating rooms, pre and post-op areas, an inpatient pharmacy, and a physician’s office. The expansion creates a new main entry point, centralizes the lobby and registration area to maximize efficiency and patient confidentiality, and combines the hospital and clinic labs into one centralized space. The project also relocates out-patient services to the medical clinic, remodels the primary care space, adds a modern conference room, and creates a new commercial kitchen and cafeteria. The design and construction efforts required comprehensive planning and phasing of construction to minimize disruption of hospital patient care.
