Enterprise Data Center – Texas

ERCOT employed Dunham and Oxford Commercial to analyze available opportunities for the relocation and expansion of their IT equipment. The options ranged from the expansion of the existing Data Center, to building new data centers, to locating equipment in co-location facilities. Dunham was involved in helping project IT growth, site selection, security considerations, mechanical/electrical design and assisting with cost estimating for the various options.

Upon completion of the study, our team designed the expansion of an existing data center with 6,000 SF of white space, that met the Tier III reliability criteria. The existing data center was initially designed by the Dunham team members for 3,000 SF at 80 watts per square foot of white space but was expanded as part of this project to a total of 6,000 SF at 120 watts per square foot.

Following the completion of the expansion, Dunham provided mechanical and electrical commissioning services for their new raised-floor data center. Commissioning services included the UPS systems, momentary hot tie controls, ATS equipment, emergency generators, chillers, pumps, VFD’s, SCADA control systems, switchgear, BAS systems, Incipient detection systems, EPO systems, etc.

Data and Control Center – Texas

At another ERCOT facility in Texas, our team provided mechanical and electrical commissioning services for a new Tier III data center and control center. The raised floor data center is 6,000 SF and includes mechanical and electrical support spaces. The commissioning included the UPS systems, momentary hot tie controls, ATS equipment, emergency generators, chillers, pumps, VFD’s, SCADA control systems, switchgear, BAS systems, Incipient detection systems, EPO systems, etc.
